I design interiors that fuse heartfelt commitment with original thinking — spaces that are technically rigorous and emotionally resonant in equal measure.
My work spans the full arc of a project — from programming and concept through construction documentation — and the full range of building types: a historic government armory, a luxury lakefront residence, an award-winning recording skybox, and a capsule hotel on the Yangtze.
Whatever the brief, the method holds: understand how people will move, work, and rest in a space, then let structure, materiality, and light do the rest.
Mengying Qi designs interiors that range from large-scale workplace and historic-preservation projects — with firms including Tilton Kelly Bell and Solomon Cordwell Buenz — to independent, award-winning experiential and hospitality concepts.
Her approach pairs conceptual ambition with construction-level precision: equally at home translating the rhythm of trap music into three-dimensional form, or detailing accessibility upgrades for a 1936 landmark. She works primarily in Revit and Enscape, alongside the full Adobe suite.
